West Baptist Christmas Eve Service
A service of “Carols and Candlelight” will take place at West Baptist Church, 39 W. Mohawk St., Oswego at 5 p.m. today.
Abel Searor will direct the Bell Choir as they perform “The First Noel” and “The March of the Kings.”
The church family welcomes all to attend this special service to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
Christmas Eve worship at First United Church of Fulton
A service of “Carols and Candlelight” will be held at 7 p.m., Monday at the First United Church of Fulton, 33 S. Third St., Fulton. The service is open to the community. Everyone is welcome, including children and youth.
The traditional Christmas Eve service will include the voices of the Chancel Choir directed by Burton Phillips, and accompanied by June Dillon. Burton Phillips will sing the solo, “O, Holy Night.” Children and youth will take part in the lighting of the Christ Candle on the Advent wreath. The congregation will enter into the singing of many beloved Christmas carols. The service will conclude with the lighting of hand-held candles as light is shared while the congregation sings “Silent Night.”
First United Church is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches, USA and the Presbyterian Church (USA). Each worship service has hearing assistance and large print bulletins. Nursery care is offered on Christmas Eve by request. Handicap access is available through the Utica Street entrance.
