The Furbush Agency, 90 Main St., Camden, an affiliate of Eastern Shore Associates Insurance (ESA), a Trusted Choice® agency, was purchased by Katie and David Stone of Camden, Robert K. Wallace, agency president and CEO.

The Furbush Agency, established in 1947, was sold to the Stones by John and Mary Smith, also of Camden.

“In addition to remaining an ESA agency, brokers Mary Paul and Vicki Gardner are still with the office and will continue to serve customers there just as they have for the past 31 and 20 years respectively,” Wallace said.

“As a continuation of ESA’s commitment to serve our local community, the Stones experience and local knowledge will provide a seamless transition,” Wallace said. “The Stones were selected to be the owners of this office because they embrace ESA’s philosophy that ‘Great Service is Our Policy.’”

Katie Stone, who has been in the insurance business for more than 15 years, said she will be managing the office and is thrilled to be joining the ESA family. “David and I have received tremendous encouragement from the local community, and we’ve already had new accounts come on board since people have learned we’re the new owners.

“We look forward to many years of serving clients in the greater Camden area as an ESA agency,” Stone said. The Stones reside in Camden with their two children.
