A deck which will offer a fabulous third-story elevated view of the Oswego River and harbor is planned to be completed for Memorial Day Weekend 2008 at G.S Steamers Bar and Grill, located in the Econo Lodge Inn and Suites Riverfront Hotel in Oswego.
The deck is currently under construction and will span the existing west side of the hotel, expecting to measure at 14 feet by 130 feet when finished. The addition of the deck is expected to allow for an additional 60 seats for cocktails and dining, as well as creating 10-12 new employment opportunities.
“The new deck will give Steamers a whole new feel; we are very excited to say the least,” said owner and general manager Shane Broadwell. “It will allow us to offer our customers a great view as they dine for lunch and dinner. In addition, our banquet guests will have the opportunity to extend their function outside.” The current banquet facilities at the hotel offers seating for up to 100 people.
Broadwell expects the addition will be a feature enjoyed by all visiting the hotel, adding, “There is no question that our hotel clientele will also enjoy this new addition to the property. The scenery here is beautiful and this is a great way to share that with everyone.”
