How is your willpower and motivation holding up? You go to the gym, you get on the treadmill and run. Sometimes you run a little then you walk a little (intervals). Sometimes you run and run and run just as far as you can (steady state workout). Sometimes you walk, and that's great, too. Then you get bored so you switch machines to try something new, well guess what. That new machine gets old just as quickly as the treadmill did. So, then you grab a friend to workout with. You walk, talk, joke and then realize you are not pushing yourself the way you did when you were by yourself. Now you have a dilemma, workout by yourself and push yourself harder, start pushing your friend (even though if you make them mad they might not want to work out with you), or just figure what you are doing is better than nothing. Wrong.
