Harborfest appeared to run very smoothly, said Oswego City Chief Michael Dehm.” The overall call volume was on par with that of previous years, but in general our arrest statistics were slightly higher than years past. With the added assistance from outside agencies, it allowed us to be more proactive in our enforcement efforts. As always, I credit our officers with a job well done, and I appreciate all of the support given to us by the outside agencies.”
Dehm said he appreciated and sends out a special thank out to all of the citizens of, and visitors to, the city of Oswego who were patient and understanding during the Harborfest celebration.
“It appeared as though fest-goers took our advice to use the Park-N-Ride and Trolley systems which allowed for the smooth flow of traffic during the entire event,” he said.
