Pair arrested for burglaries in Orwell

Two Oswego County residents are in jail facing burglary charges after an investigation into a recent string of burglaries in the town of Orwell.


Brian W. Grass, 23, of 50 Whispering Oaks Lane, Altmar, and Michelle J. Hudson, 18, of 69 Bangall Road, Parish, were each arrested, Friday, by Oswego County sheriff’s deputies on one count of burglary in the second degree, a class-C felony. The New York State Police additionally charged the two with 3rd-degree burglary and unauthorized use of a vehicle, subsequent to a vehicle and traffic stop by members of the Syracuse Police Department.


According to a press release, the pair is accused of forcibly entering a residence on Shoreline Drive in the town of Orwell on April 30 and stealing a generator, electronics and kerosene heaters. State Police said Grass and Hudson were also involved in the burglary of three seasonal residences and a workshop in Orwell, all of which occurred in the past month. Both the state police and county sheriff’s departments recovered stolen property throughout the course of the investigation.


Grass and Hudson were arraigned and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility and are scheduled to answer the charges before town of Orwell Court Wednesday.
