KATY, Texas -

Harriett Abrams, 91, formerly of Oswego, died Monday evening, May 5, 2008, in Katy, Texas. She was born in Seneca Hill and was the daughter of the late George and Mildred (Sheffield) Thompson.


She was the widow of the late Orlie A. Abrams, who died June 5, 1989.


Mrs. Abrams had been active in the Trinity United Methodist Church for many years.

She was a well-known Girl Scout leader and a former board member of The Ladies Home.


She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Zulueta of Katy, Texas, Phyllis (Elmer) Uriondo of Lancaster, Pa. and Paula Kelly of Fulton; one brother, Gilbert Thompson of Baltimore, Md.; six grandchildren, Tracye Stephens-Reznicek, Brion Dolan, Jeannette Lamson, Annette Uriondo, Stephen and Zachary Kelly; six great-grandchildren, Dolan and Michael Stephens, Rachael Lamson, Chase Lamson, Aidan Lamson, Tessa Kelly; and several nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richelle Duchano officiating.


Burial will be in Peck’s Cemetery.


Calling hours are 4-7 p.m., Friday at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, Inc., 112 E. Second St., Oswego.
