Frederick LaGrou, 71, of Fulton, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, in the Oswego Hospital after a short illness.
Mr. LaGrou was born in Kansas City, Kan., and has been a resident of Fulton for most of his life.
Mr. LaGrou worked for Nestle’s as a lab technician for 15 years and was a lab technician at Sealright for 15 years before working in the buildings and grounds department at James A. Fiztpatrick Nuclear Power Plant. Later he worked for the Fulton City School District, where he retired from after seven years of employment.
Mr. LaGrou was a member of the Fulton Polish Home.
He is survived by his wife, Janet LaGrou of Fulton; his children, Gary (MaryEllen) LaGrou of Fulton, Susan (Steve) Sheffield of Maryland and Donna (Ken) Auyer of Oswego; his brother, William LaGrou of California; and his six grandchildren, Brandon Auyer, Bridgette Auyer, Carly Sheffield, Maureen LaGrou, Garrett Kinney and Dallas Kinney; and one great-grandson, Mason Kinney.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m., Monday at the Sugar Funeral Home Inc.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 3-6 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home 224 W. Second St. South, Fulton.
