Katherine Mary Cook, passed peacefully June 8, 2008 after her courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in Oswego, June 14, 1967, she was the daughter of Joanne E. (Cronk) Burritt and the late William H. Cook. She graduated from Oswego High School, Morrisville College and Humanities School of Massage.
Kathy lived in Texas many years. She returned to New York for several years before moving to St. Pete, Fla. She worked as a Licensed Massage Therapist for Morton Plant Mease Bardmoor Center.
Kathy was an accomplished athlete, enjoyed cooking, traveling, caring for the environment and helping those in need. Her circle of friends grew everyday of her life. All who were blessed to know Kathy will forever be changed because of her generous heart and spirit.
She is survived by her mother; her maternal grandmother, Ellen E. Cronk; sisters, Suzanne Cook, Kimberly (Bill) Sloan, Michele Cook, Maureen Rucynski; and brother, William H. Cook Jr. Kathy was a beloved auntie to Zachary, Cole, Colin, Kennedy and Carly; and a devoted “mommie” to two boxer dogs, Jake and Zoegirl.
A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held Aug. 2, in Oswego.
