Marion “Betty” Andrews, 77, formerly of Dewey Drive, Fulton and currently of Carthage, passed peacefully surrounded by her family Monday, Aug. 11, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse after a long illness.
She was born in Rome and had resided in Fulton for many years before moving in 2006.
Mrs. Andrews was a past member of the Snowdrifters Club. She was formerly employed by General Electric, Syracuse. She was also past employed with St. Joseph’s Hospital and Oswego Hospital as a home health aide.
Mrs. Andrews enjoyed doing crafts with her good friend Agnes King. She was a communicant of St. James Church, Carthage.
She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years Ronald Andrews in 2005 and her sister Audrey Marshall.
Mrs. Andrews is survived by her children, Daniel (Lori) Andrews of Clay, Susan (Gary) Balch of Ballston Spa, and Brenda (Bruce) Gayne of Carthage; her brothers, Thomas Mabb of Texas, Ronald Mabb of Elbridge; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. James’ Church, Carthage.
Burial will be in Champion Hillside Cemetery, Carthage.
Calling hours are 4-7p.m. Friday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St., South, Fulton.
