OSWEGO -

Mary Alice Czirr, 93, a resident of 2117A county Route 176, Oswego, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at the Michaud Health Services in Fulton.


Born in the town of Oswego, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Cassie (Colwell) Perau and had attended Minetto schools.


She had worked briefly at Columbia Mills, but most of her life was spent as a dedicated homemaker.


Mrs. Czirr enjoyed playing cards and Yahtzee and loved watching baseball on television, especially when her favorite team the New York Yankees were playing.


She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Herbert) Davis of Volney with whom she resided; her son, Ronald (Yvonne) Czirr of Georgia; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, Rebecca (John) Swenszowski, Leonard (Sherry) Davis and their children, twins, Tyler and Brandon, and Carter all of Scriba, Beth (Kris) Barrows and their children, Nickolas, Allison, and their twins, Nathan and Katelyn, of Georgia, Ronald (Cindy) Czirr Jr. and their children, Brian and Daniel, of Baldwinsville; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.


Mrs. Czirr was predeceased by her husband Frederick in 1977.


She was the last of her family and was predeceased by her brothers, Harold and Charles Perau; and five sisters, Jean Perau, Helen Evers, Doris Turner, Elizabeth Ash and Dorothy Lanphear.


Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, from the Dowdle Funeral Home.


Burial will be in Minetto Cemetery.


Friends may call from 4-8 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home, 154 E. Fourth St., Oswego.


The family requests that any contributions be made to the Grace Lutheran Church.
