The Oswego High School varsity boys tennis team lost 5-2 to Cicero-North Syracuse on Monday.
At first singles, the Bucs’ Oliver Loy earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Jordan Smith.
The other winner for Oswego (5-5) was Matt Randall. He won his match at third singles 6-4, 6-1 over Cory Stoltz.
Tom Powers of the Northstars won a tough battle at second singles 7-5, 6-4 over Oswego’s Brad McGivney.
At first doubles, the CNS duo of Sean Morgan and Julian Durante defeated Kristopher Baum and Derek Roth 6-3, 6-3.
CNS also won at second doubles. Dave Novitski and Jim Howe beat Joe Hart and Rich Mandanas 6-3, 6-4.
The Northstars’ third doubles team of Alex Zorn and Chris Caporuscio defeated Zac Schrecengost and Brandon DeSantis 7-5, 6-1.
At fourth doubles, the CNS team of Joe Chizer and Pat Lusk beat Chen Cheng and Stephen Hoefer 6-3, 6-3.
The Bucs played Tuesday at Fayetteville-Manlius, and will be at Central Square Wednesday.
