Gary's wins Oswego B League slow-pitch playoff crown

Gary's tallied seven runs over the first two innings and held on to defeat regular-season champion Scriba Town Inn 8-6 on Monday, completing a sweep of the best-of-three B League slow-pitch finals in the Oswego Men's Softball Association.

Gary's, second in the regular season, had taken the first game of the series 21-9 over STI.

Ron Cahill singled, doubled, and drove in three runs for Gary's. Winning pitcher Josh Flett singled, doubled, and drove in a run. Adding two singles each were Joey Bartosek and Greg Lavery.

Shawn Fetterly laced three singles and drove in a run for Scriba Town Inn. Bobby Galletta had two hits and two RBIs, and Scott Duboise singled twice.
